DA stud welding machines are ideal for welding onto thicker materials (2mm and above), large diameter studs and materials with imperfections such as curvatures, grease or slight rusting. It’s a fantastic type of weld that is neat, strong and long-lasting.

CD stud welding machines are perfect for welding onto thinner materials (less than 2mm) with clean surfaces. It lends itself particularly well to aluminum, brass, mild steel and stainless steel. CD stud welding creates a strong hold without penetrating thin materials.

SC (or short cycle) stud welding produces welds that are more penetrative than CD, materials 1.5mm and thicker, and materials that are rolled or have a coating. More tolerant than CD of dirty surfaces, it’s a highly effective form of stud welding.
